Can this readout measure both static and dynamic strain?
It is designed primarily for dynamic strain acquisition from vibrating wire gauges, but it can also take static readings. You switch modes in the menu.
What sensor types does it work with?
It works with most standard vibrating wire strain gauges, load cells, and pressure transducers that output a frequency signal. If you have a less common sensor, provide the specs and Kingmach can check compatibility.
How is the data exported from the readout?
The unit stores data internally and can be transferred to a PC via USB. It exports in CSV format so you can open it directly in spreadsheet software.
Is it really portable? How much does it weigh?
It’s about the size of a small field notebook and weighs under 1.5 kg including the battery. It comes with a shoulder strap and a protective case.
We need to read sensors with a long cable run. Does distance affect the reading?
